  • When & where is the event?

    Our two-day Fall film festival will be hosted at the AMC Boston Common 19 Theater (Downtown Boston, near Boston Common) on the 23rd & 24th of September, 2023.

  • How to get there, any parking & public transportation information?

    Suggested parking location by AMC

    Boston Common Theater District Garage (47 Boylston St, Boston, MA)

    You can also take the T to either the Boylston Station (green line) or the Park Street Station (red line). The theater is about 5 min walk from the station.

  • Will there be subtitles and translation?

    Yes, all films will have English subtitles. There will be real-time translation during the director Q&A sessions. Some directors will speak English as well. The event setting is designed to be international and friendly for people from different countries and backgrounds.

  • Can I reserve a seat for the screening?

    No, the seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

    Each theater will have approximately 200 seats.

    Please note that all tickets are non-refundable. Please come earlier to the venue to secure your seats. If we have a full-house situation, audiences may need to stand or sit on the steps in the theater or to wait for other films.

  • Do you accept walk-in audiences?

    Yes, we accept limited numbers of walk-in audiences if the tickets are still available. However, we highly encourage you to purchase the tickets before the event. Walk-in tickets are not guaranteed.

    We accept cash or Venmo only for your purchase on site. Credit cards will only be accepted for amounts over $50 (acceptable with purchase of souvenirs).

  • How do I check-in?

    Once you arrive at the AMC theater, please go to the regular AMC ticket entrance and tell a staff member that you are here for the Taiwan Film Festival of Boston. Our volunteers will guide you to the upper level for TFFB ticket check-in. You will need to show our volunteers at the front desk your physical tickets or digital tickets (with QR code) from your Eventbrite App.

  • If I purchased a one-day pass or two-day pass, can I leave AMC during the event and come back later?

    Yes, as long as you can show your tickets (hard copy or digital) for multiple entries (one-day or two-day passes), you are allowed to leave and come back any time during the valid period. If you purchase a one-day pass, you can pick a single date of your preference, but your re-entry will only be valid on the same day.

  • How can I attend the director forums?

    The post-screening forums will begin right after the movie screening. Audiences who purchased the screening admission (the corresponding films/ day passes) are welcome to attend.

  • Will you record/live stream the director forums?

    No. The forums are exclusive for the audiences who attend the event in person.

Anything I should know before I purchase my tickets?

By attending the event, you acknowledge that Taiwan Film Festival of Boston expects all participants at Taiwan Film Festival of Boston events to comply with CDC, state and local COVID-related guidelines, rules and requirements, which continue to evolve, that you are attending at your own risk and that you release Taiwan Film Festival of Boston, its officers, directors, agents, employees and assigns from any liability related to COVID-19 which might occur as a result of your attendance.

Movie “Coo-Coo 043” is an R-rated film. Audiences under 12 are not permitted to watch this film. Please follow the guideline of the U.S. standard movie rating system before you purchase the tickets.

All merchandise, film tickets, and the admission to the reception events sold by TFFB are non-refundable for any reason. If the event is canceled due to force majeure, the sold tickets will not be refundable.TFFB reserves the right to adjust the program, the schedule, and the location of the event.Please read the ticket policies carefully on our Eventbrite page before you purchase your tickets.
