Hu Guan-yu is passionate about table tennis. He trains tirelessly alongside his best friend, Huang Xuan, as they both strive to earn a spot on the Olympic team. But everything begins to change with the arrival of a new coach. The team's dynamic shifts, and under the new training regime, Guan-yu and his teammates start to improve rapidly. Huang Xuan's talent shines especially bright, and as his skills surpass Guan-yu’s, the once inseparable friends begin to drift apart. Struggling with the loss of his closest partner, Guan-yu falls into a downward spiral of self-doubt. Yet, with the support and encouragement of his teammates, he finds the strength to start over. After a year of relentless training, Guan-yu emerges victorious in the junior team qualifiers—only to face a familiar name in the final match: Huang Xuan.
