台灣有將近60萬的外籍移工人口，其中以來自東南亞的移民佔多數。面對沒有保障的工作環境以及高昂的仲介費，許多移工選擇拋棄合法身份成為「逃逸外勞」。紀錄片《逃跑的人》透過越南移工范草雲及陳維興的現身說法呈現他們的生命處境。 導演用六年的時間，跟隨他們的腳步前進越南，暸解到他們咬牙堅持只為提供家人更好的生活環境。在細膩的鏡頭敘事下，他們不再只是逃跑的人，也是父母、兒女、摯友、藝術家、社會運動者等等。《逃跑的人》呈現多面性的台灣臉譜，推翻以往主流媒體對於移工過於簡化的敘事方式，是一部具有啟發性的佳作！

There are nearly 600,000 foreign migrant workers living in Taiwan, most of whom are from Southeast Asia. Facing harsh working conditions and high agency commission fees, many of them choose to abandon their legal visa status and become “runaway workers”. Two migrant workers from Vietnam told their story through “The Lucky Woman”. Over 6 years, the director followed them through Vietnam and witnessed their dedication to provide better conditions for their families. Through the lenses of the documentary, they are beyond runaway workers, they are parents, children, family, artists and social movement supporters. “The Lucky Woman” presented the different faces of Taiwan through defying stereotypes of migrant work.
