金馬59最佳劇情短片《講話沒有在聽》是一封李念修導演給爸爸（老爹）道別信。電影環繞在父親過世的那一天，《講話沒有在聽》用感人卻不失幽默的創新敘事手法講述沉重的生離死別議題。

透過可以跨越陰陽兩界溝通的搞笑警察、就算死者為大但講話依舊沒人在聽的父親、在面對噩耗時慌張但最後卻真情流露的家中四口，展現出台灣家庭組成的不同面向、情緒表現的不同面孔。而在老爹滔滔不絕、死後回憶人生，說盡過去的美好、遺憾時，也帶觀眾走過生命的成長、蛻變、和無常。《講話沒有在聽》也引入傳統戲曲元素，真摯地呈現老爹人生的臉譜，令人笑中帶淚、回味無窮！

The winner of The 59th Golden Horse Award for Best Live Action Short Film, “Can You Hear Me?” is a farewell to dad from director Nien-Hsiu Li. The movie tells the story of the day of the father’s passing. “Can You Hear Me?” delivered a discussion on life and death through a  moving yet light-hearted storytelling approach. 

Through a funny police who can communicate between the mortals and the underground, a dead father who no one listens to, and a family of four who panicked after the news but later confided in their emotions, the movie tells the story of different facets of Taiwanese families and expressions of emotions. As the father talks non-stop about memories of good and bad times, he brought the audience through the growth, change and reality of life. “Can You Hear Me?” also incorporated elements of traditional theater and presented the faces of the father’s life.
