A young boy named Dou Dou had to move in with his grandmother temporarily, as his mother had to leave him to attend to his father. Dou Dou had a challenging time getting along with his grandma in the beginning, especially since her superstition was unfathomable to Dou Dou. Compelled by curiosity, Dou Dou entered the forbidden storage room and accidentally released an evil spirit. After witnessing some supernatural phenomena, Dou Dou’s relationship with grandma started to evolve.
七月颱，鬼門開。因為爸爸出了車禍，豆豆不得不暫時與媽媽分開，搬到基隆和外表恐怖的阿嬤一起住。豆豆一開始沒有辦法跟阿嬤好好相處，阿嬤也總是做著一些他無法理解的迷信行爲。
在好奇心驅使之下，豆豆亂闖入一間阿嬤告誡過不能進去的儲藏室，原來這是用來專門儲藏被封印的惡靈的房間，還意外的放出一個專做壞事的惡靈。惡靈開始阻礙阿嬤普渡「好兄弟」，要讓這些「好兄弟」留下來幫他做壞事。在經歷到各種奇妙事物後，豆豆對阿嬤的情感慢慢產生了改變…。

A sudden accident brought Dou Dou unexpected changes and impacts. Through Dou Dou’s experience moving in with grandma in the countryside, the audience was able to witness the warmth of humanity, scenery, traditions in Taiwan, as well as the hardworking and frugal mentality of the previous generation. Although the injury to his father brought along various challenges to Dou Dou, it was also the driving force that created new dialogues and interactions between Dou Dou and grandma, and allowed every family member to reunite and reconnect.
爸爸的車禍，讓豆豆的童年時光必須接受突如其來的衝擊與變化。透過豆豆回到基隆鄉下跟阿嬤居住的奇遇過程，讓波士頓觀眾看見台灣農曆七月鬼門開的習俗和放天燈的儀式，瞭解台灣多元文化、尊重傳統和敬畏生命的一面。父親的受傷雖然帶給豆豆許多的挑戰，但也因為這個意外的事件，讓豆豆跟外婆產生了新的對話與連結，同時讓每個家庭成員重新認識彼此，更加緊密連結。
