About the Movie
In Chishang, Eastern Taiwan, lies the WildOne Wildlife Rescue Center—the region's very first wildlife hospital. This privately-founded sanctuary serves as a refuge for injured wildlife, fueled by the unwavering passion of a compassionate team. Together, they embark on a relentless mission to rescue and rehabilitate a growing number of animals. Yet, their path is not without challenges.
座落在台東池上的野灣,是臺灣東部第一間野生動物醫院,也是極少數完全由民間發起的野生動物救傷中心。這一群人,因為對動物的愛聚集起來,希望拯救更多野生動物,但,一切真能如此順利嗎?
截肢的穿山甲、失親的小山羌、落難的鳥兒們,一段段生命故事在此上演。在這裡,有拯救生命的喜悅,也有死亡無處不在的悲傷籠罩。
About the Director
Chiao-Wei Chen 陳巧薇
Chiao-Wei Chen graduated from the Department of Radio and Television at National Chengchi University. Her creative works span across various genres including narrative films, documentaries, and advertising short films. In recent years, she has predominantly focused on documentary filmmaking, showcasing a deep concern for the relationship between humans and nature. She believes that documentaries represent a gentle revolution.
政治大學廣播電視學系畢業,創作作品橫跨劇情片、紀錄片、廣告短片等領域。近年來多以紀錄片進行創作,在作品中展現對人與自然的關懷,相信紀錄片是一場溫柔的革命。

《依諾物語》The Tale of Ino Yumin
Over the ten years, Ino has been passing down the Atayal culture with real actions, imparting all he learnt from the forest to children in Cinsbu. The audiences can feel his natural philosophy of life in his words and deeds. He makes people realize that there exists genuine, pure and beautiful relationship between human and myriad elements of nature.

十幾年來,依諾以行動傳承泰雅文化,將畢生在山林裡的知識傳授給鎮西堡的孩子們。影片中,可以感受到他如山林般的自然觀,言語行止所蘊含的深層自然哲理,讓人了悟,原來,人與自然萬物可以有如此真實而純美的關係。
About the Director
Shu-Mei Huang 黃淑梅
Born in Baihe, Tainan City, Shu-Mei graduated from Shih Hsin University. In 1990, she joined Fullshot Studio, initially assisting with field interviews for documentaries. She began creating her own documentaries in 1991. Alongside her work in documentary production, Shu-Mei has many years of experience promoting community screenings of documentaries. In 2006, she returned to her hometown of Tainan, where she currently lives and works. Shu-Mei is now an independent documentary filmmaker, with a long-term focus on environmental issues, actively using visual media to engage with and support Taiwanese society.
出生於台南縣白河鎮,世界新聞專科學校廣播電視科畢業,1990年進入全景映像工作室,初期協助紀錄片田野採訪工作,1991年開始創作紀錄片。除紀錄片創作外,亦有多年的紀錄片社區放映推廣經驗。 2006年回到家鄉台南,生活、工作。目前為獨立紀錄片工作者,長期關注環境議題,積極透過影像作品來關懷台灣社會。
“I was often moved by the words unintentionally uttered by Ino when he walked in the forest. Try to describe Ino with words, it could be “a natural person”, someone who is in harmony with nature. You can find philosophy of nature from his words and deeds, his perspective to nature and view of life. It’s like the morning dewdrops, like Muller’s Barbet flying through the woods to peck at Tetrapanax papyrifer. Ino is nature himself!
In the torrent of pursuing money and material possessions, Ino is like a fool for many people nowadays, never worrying about the future nor haggling over all kinds of benefits. But the value he adheres to is the central theme that this documentary film wants to keep record of.
